| Chicago "This production isn't smoke and mirrors, it's flesh and blood shaped by discipline and artistry into a parade of vital, pulsing talent." New York Times | | The Book of Mormon "Silly? Yes. Smart? Yes, actually. If there's such a thing as an intelligent sophomoric musical that the whole family can enjoy then writers Lopez, Parker and Stone have successfully stalked it and put it in a headlock. "The Book of Mormon" is inventive and slick and subversive. It is funnier and smarter than "Monty Python's Spamalot," managing to offend, provoke laughter, trigger eye-rolling, satirize conventions and warm hearts, all at the same time. What they've done is faithfully maintain the structure and rhythm of a classic musical even while filling it with utter zaniness." AP | | The Lion King "A marvel, a theatrical achievement unrivaled in its beauty, brains and ingenuity. Leaping far beyond its celluloid inspiration, the stage version improves upon nearly every aspect of the hit 1994 animated film, from visual artistry and storytelling to Lebo M's score and the newly African-ized pop songs of Elton John and Tim Rice. With this production, the Walt Disney Co. stages itself as a serious and ambitious contender on the legit scene." Variety | | Other Desert Cities "When Baitz's "Other Desert Cities" opened Off-Broadway, it was like an oasis during a typically dry spell in the theater season; and it was only a matter of time before it came to Broadway. The production features two new actors in key roles and that just gives audiences another excuse to return to one of the best new plays of the decade. All the dramatic pieces come together splendidly in this powerful and unexpectedly compassionate work. Make no mistake, this is a drama but Baitz is equally adept at humor. "Other Desert Cities" has audiences thoroughly engaged, whether through laughter or tears. It's not entirely flawless, but under Joe Mantello's expert direction, theater lovers should still find "Desert Cities" a prime destination." NY1 | | Wit "It's easy to see why Margaret Edson won the Pulitzer Prize for "Wit", her first and only play. It's a work of such unflinching honesty and intelligence, there's no denying this is a masterpiece. With shaved head, Cynthia Nixon bravely took up the challenge and she's certainly proved her mettle. Lynne Meadow’s intensely focused production is very well acted. Nixon gamely manages to sharpen the hard edges required to turn Vivian's harrowing journey into stunning theatre. Staged correctly, this revelatory play is powerfully life affirming. Given the tremendous emotional and cerebral depth of this MTC production, I'd have to say Ms. Edson's masterwork has been done proud." NY1 | | Chinglish "Even though the play can seem a little too talky for its own good, "Chinglish" has a lot to say. It's all terribly funny as scene after scene depicts all the ways in which intended meanings are mangled. And Hwang displays a tremendous fluency in the dynamics of communication - spoken as well as unspoken. Silverman's fine direction is filmically paced. The actors, all excellent, sink their teeth into some nicely nuanced roles. The play, intricately plotted and over-written in spots, could use a healthy trimming. But for the most part "Chinglish" serves as a highly entertaining lesson that no matter how foreign we seem to each other, when it comes to making money, we're really pretty much alike." NY1 |

| Godspell "An updated version of Godspell hits the mark with a small cast all of whom are principal singers in their own right, some beautiful blends of voices reminiscent of Spring Awakening. The first half is light and fun with much interaction. The second half becomes brooding as befits the build up to the "crucifiction" which was cleverly managed. Staged in the round which is not my favourite but staged brilliantly so you never felt you were behind the action. The scattering of the excellent band around the auditorium was a clever touch. Highly recommended." Mark from Littlehampton, UK | | Other Desert Cities "great acting, good sound system, very authentic set design.
Good evening at theatre!
carol nash" Carol from Kinnelon, NJ | | Anything Goes "Sutton Foster out-Mermans Merman! Her voice, her dancing, her comedic timing are first rate. Great cast, great music (what's not to love about Cole Porter tunes???), beautiful costumes, terrific sets, A+ on general stage production. We all left the theater in a wonderfully uplifted mood. Thanks to the entire cast and crew for a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon." Judith from Little Egg Harbor Twnshp, NJ | | The Book of Mormon "The play will prove offensive to Mormons. (perhaps some other religous people too...)
Hard core religious satire...
Lots of hard core "langugage"
The music is superior. The singers sensational. the theme well put together. This has "Tony" written all over it.
Excellent cast.
Don't take the kids unless they are sophisticated and at least in high school..." Michael from Houston, TX | | War Horse "My wife and daughter and I attended War Horse. We each were overwhelmed with the performance, the puppetry, the venue, the use of graphics. It was a sensational show, not to be missed. The performance seems to have something for everyone - music, puppetry, drama, and humor. We thought it was a thoughtful production, filled with excellent attention to detail, down to the choice of humourous puppets.
To top it all off, our seats were in the second row - the seats were narrow, though extraordinary!
Thank you!" Charles from Westport, CT | | Sister Act "My family and I loved the show. I am a fan of the movie. The show kept the feel of the movie but was fresh and new. Absolutely loved it!
Our tickets were a fantastic surprise. We were in the front mezzanine with a clear view of the entire stage.
My family raved about the seats.
I am very satisfied with the show, the tickets, and the service. You made my NYC vacation complete.
Thanks!" Eileen from Old Town, FL |
