Frost / Nixon

Frost / Nixon the Broadway Play - Frost / Nixon Tickets - click for tickets
New in 2007
A new drama from London about the legendary interview of Richard Nixon by David Frost - Frank Langella stars.

The Broadway production of Frost / Nixon closed August 19, 2007. For current Broadway show listings and tickets, please click here.

Landing on the Main Stem after both a nonprofit run at the Donmar Warehouse and a commercial run in the West End, this piece was a tough ticket and a word of mouth favorite in previous incarnations. The reviews here were strong to mixed, mostly praising the leads (see Critics' Ratings, below) and suggesting that it succeeded at delivering the entertainment while letting the historical lesson slip a bit. Given the great buzz from London and recent political topical parallels, this might be a good pick for the Atlantic Monthly/Harpers crowd. Expect a light and approachable evening - it moves quickly, and it's abundantly narrated.

Not just a re-enactment of the interview itself, the drama tells the story of the negotiations and schemes leading up to the famous encounter, and features a cast of ten.

From the screenwriter of the recent hit film The Queen.

2007 Tony Award: Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Play (Langella)

2006-2007 Drama Desk Award - Outstanding Actor in a Play (Langella).

2006-2007 Outer Critics Circle Award: Outstanding Actor in a Play (Langella)

NB: Kevin Bacon has been cast in the movie, not the play.
