Next Fall the Broadway Play - Next Fall Tickets - click for tickets
Running since February 2010
In this well-received new play about a gay couple grappling with life’s Big Issues (faith, commitment, love, death), the terrific cast manages to generate Big Laughs, and lots of them....the NY Times calls it "the funniest heartbreaker in town."
Closes July 4th.

The Broadway production of Next Fall closed July 4, 2010. For current Broadway show listings and tickets, please click here.

The story focuses on the 5-year relationship between Adam, a 40-ish, neurotic New Yorker cut from the Woody Allen mold, and Luke, a 20-something actor/waiter from the deep South. Refreshingly, the play is not primarily driven by the central characters’ sexuality, but rather by Adam’s mostly playful, but ultimately very serious exploration of Luke’s fundamentalist Christian faith.

That the production manages to be enormously entertaining while delving into such deep waters is a credit to all involved. The playwright, director, and several performers will no doubt be serious contenders for various honors when awards season arrives.

If you are wondering about the play’s family-appropriateness, we think most parents who are comfortable talking about same-sex relationships with their kids will find this show suitable for teens and mature ‘tweens. There is some strong language, but no nudity or overtly sexual scenes/situations that will cause discomfort.

This show was originally produced Off-Broadway by a group of "young Turks" called the Naked Angels (more here), and is being produced on Broadway by a team of (fully-clothed) angels that includes Sir Elton John.
