If you're looking for a topical political comedy, this might be a good pick. Scribe David Mamet is regarded as one of the best of modern playwrights, and though star Nathan Lane made his name in musical comedy, he's been successfully stretching his chops recently in legit dramas. The plot of this one has an incumbent president wrestling with the issues of the moment while attempting to keep hold of the reins of power.
Expect a word-driven, slightly farcical entertainment shaped to please mass-market Broadway by expert director Joe Mantello ("Wicked") and a stageful of competent folks doing what they do best.
Interesting: Mamet is writing a blog for the lead character here. ("Blog" is short for "web log".)
