From the producers:
James and Sarah, a journalist and a photographer, have been together for nine years and share a passion for documenting the realities of war. But when injuries force them to return home to New York, the adventurous couple confronts the prospect of a more conventional life.
This is a modest but thoughtful and well-crafted play, produced and performed here to near perfection. Ms. Linney, as the war photographer who has suffered serious injuries in Iraq, is outstanding, supported by Tony-nominee Brian d'Arcy James (as her long-time companion), Eric Bogosian, and Christina Ricci. The direction (by Tony-winner Daniel Sullivan), design, and overall production values are first-rate.
In her prime now at the age of 45, Laura Linney is one of the leading actresses of her generation. She has won three Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe, and has been nominated for the Academy Award three times (for "You Can Count on Me," "Kinsey," and "The Savages").
