New work abounds in encore performances of season premieres from Principal Dancer Lauren Lovette, Corps Member Peter Walker, and Alexei Ratmansky, accompanied by the return of Peter Martins’ fleet-footed game of cards and Christopher Wheeldon’s touching pas de deux.

Jeu de Cartes

Choreography by: Peter Martins

With a poker table backdrop for dancers dressed as playing cards, the whimsical Jeu de Cartes pairs fleet-footed choreography with Stravinsky's boisterous and wildly rhythmic score.



After the Rain Pas de Deux

Music by: Arvo Pärt
Choreography by: Christopher Wheeldon

Full of heartfelt emotion, this simple yet stirring pas de deux leaves audiences in silent awe.



New Lovette (World Premiere)

Music by: Robert Schumann
Choreography by: Lauren Lovette

NYCB’s newest female principal, Lauren Lovette takes on a new role in the rehearsal studio, choreographing her first work for the Company.

Corps de Ballet Member Peter Walker has caught the attention of dance enthusiasts for years in social media videos featuring his fellow dancers, and now he brings his choreographic talents from the screen to the stage.

Critics have acclaimed Alexei Ratmansky’s NYCB works as resounding hits and in Spring 2017 he’ll be inspired again by the Company’s versatile dancers.
