Jorma Elo’s eight fearless dancers, Lynne Taylor-Corbett’s intersection of light and shadow, and Peter Martins’ meditative choreography share the stage with a world premiere reuniting Justin Peck with Sufjan Stevens. The indie singer/ songwriter will contribute a commissioned score for their third NYCB collaboration in less than five years.

Using Baroque melodies as counterpoint to modern movement, Jorma Elo's Slice to Sharp is a high-energy tour de force for eight fearless dancers.



Chiaroscuro

Music by: Francesco Geminiani
Choreography by: Lynne Taylor-Corbett

Chiaroscuro locates is six cast members between light and shadow as their weaving patterns unfold in complex interactions.



Stabat Mater

Music by: Giovanni Battista Pergolesi
Choreography by: Peter Martins

Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater pulls at listeners’ innermost heartstrings, proving the perfect match for Martins’ meditative choreography for six dancers moving amongst remnants of an ancient time.



New Peck 4

Music by: Sufjan Stevens
Choreography by: Justin Peck

Building on an already popular partnership, indie singer-songwriter Sufjan Stevens will craft a new score for Peck’s Spring 2017 premiere, their third NYCB collaboration following Year of the Rabbit (2012) and Everywhere We Go (2014).
