Closing Date at the American Airlines Theatre: May 15, 2005 Set entirely in the jury room, this drama follows the heated deliberations in a murder case. Call it "Law & Order" Live (you’ve seen quite a few of these faces playing out similar stories on the small screen on Tuesday, Wednesday & Sunday nights at 9), but once you’ve seen it live, you may not want to go back to the television version. This old-fashioned meat & potatoes tragedy is buoyed by one of the strongest ensembles of recent seasons, making it an excellent ticket for frequent theatregoers and families with older children looking for a satisfying Broadway drama. Tip: avoid the first few rows (or bring a periscope), as the set is a bit elevated. For the young ones, the Roundabout has an excellent study guide online that might help with their appreciation of the evening.
