This revival has been running since October, 2006. One of the longest running productions in Broadway history returns for an encore - the story of an ill-fated revolution in the streets of nineteenth-century Paris.

Spectacular scenery and a young, hardworking cast make for an unforgettable evening in the theatre. The score, filled with "stand center and let it rip" ballads, is clearly a significant part of its appeal to theatregoing families, and this is a story in which the characters have plenty to sing about.
One of the great megamusicals of the last few decades, this production has been touring the world, and returned home to the Great White Way for a farewell visit. Though it's the same physical production that's been on the road (which was the touring version of the show that opened in 1987) it has been almost totally recast for this Broadway run, the orchestrations have been revised, and there are some changes to the costumes and properties. In all, though, same barricades, different faces.
Inappropriate for 5 and under. Children under the age of 4 are not permitted in the theatre.
