A new 'jukebox' musical featuring classic 50s and 60s songs as performed by a fictional girl group called the Wonderettes.

THE MARVELOUS WONDERETTES takes you to the 1958 Springfield High School prom where we meet the Wonderettes - Betty Jean, Cindy Lou, Missy and Suzy - four girls with hopes and dreams as big as their crinoline skirts and voices to match! As we learn about their lives and loves, we are treated to the girls performing such classic songs as "Lollipop," "Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me," "It’s My Party," and so many more!
Developed at the Milwaukee Rep and produced earlier this year at the Laguna Rep in LA, the show is being produced in NYC by a partnership that includes long-time Disney exec Peter Schneider. As a pure entertainment, it seems a pretty safe bet.
The theatre, which most recently housed the very long and successful run of "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change," is situated in a quiet corner of midtown (two blocks from Times Square) with several excellent restaurants very nearby.
