A new musical from Joe DiPietro (creator of the Off Broadway hit "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change") based on the 1986 cult film of the same title, directed by John Rando who helmed another cult classic - the Broadway musical "Urinetown").

Armed with superhuman strength and a heart as big as Newark, he’s out to save New Jersey, end global warming and woo the prettiest, blindest librarian in town. He’ll leave you laughing in the aisles as he rocks the house and saves the earth for all of mankind.
What's New World Stages? New World Stages is a converted complex of movie theaters in midtown, about a block west of the Broadway theater district. Very well-apportioned, with excellent intermission bars and very comfortable seats, it is a rental house, meaning that outside producers pay the theater a certain amount to bring their shows in, resulting in wildly varying fare, but the high rental cost tends to keep the sketchiest of the riff-raff at bay.
