From the theatre:
When a world renowned origami artist opens her studio to a teenage prodigy and his school teacher, she finds that life and love can’t be neatly arranged in this drama about finding the perfect fold.
What's Second Stage? Second Stage is a long-running producing organization with a recently redesigned Off-Broadway theatre in the heart of the theatre distict midtown, and a smaller space (the company's original home) on the Upper Westside. The fare is sometimes a bit racy, but often very approachable. Call it quirkiness with an edge. It sees itself as a 'Second Stage' for plays that don't find an audience on the larger stages, but it's hardly anti-Broadway, and several of its shows have recently made the jump to larger houses across the street.
