From the producer:
When Benjamin's first novel vaults him into literary stardom, his friend David, a struggling playwright, is thrilled for his newfound success...or is he? Should Benjamin help David by using his new connections? Can David even expect such favors from his friend? And, most importantly, who should pay for lunch? THE FOUR OF US is a poignant new play about friendship and memory, the gap between our stories and our lives, and what happens when your dreams come true – for your best friend.
Through 5/18.
What's Manhattan Theatre Club?: One of three not-for-profit theatres that produce a season on Broadway each year, MTC also has two smaller stages at City Center, where they produce mostly modern plays in productions that are usually quite conventional. You'll notice that the audience looks different than at your usual Off-Broadway play or Broadway musical - that's because of all the subscribers to the theatre - generally a dignified and quiet bunch, prone to discussing the afternoon's seven-figure deal, or reminiscing about their halcyon days at one of the Seven Sisters over an intermission martini.
