As a playwright, Atlantic Theater co-founder David Mamet has won a Pulitzer Prize and received Tony nominations for "Glengarry Glen Ross" and "Speed-the-Plow". Feature films that Mamet both wrote and directed include "The Spanish Prisoner," "House of Games," "The Winslow Boy" and "Oleanna." "Glengarry Glen Ross" was adapted by Mamet into a film version which received an 1992 Academy Award nomination. As a screenplay writer, Mamet received Oscar nominations for "The Verdict" and "Wag the Dog."
