TKTS: Discount Theater Tickets

The TKTS booth in Times Square sells day-of-show tickets for Broadway and other theater events at discounts of 25% to 50%. The chart shows availabilities at TKTS for the past week, and, for our subscribers, what is available today (more info).

To avoid the lines at TKTS and the uncertainty of same-day buying, you may want to consider Broadway shows with discounts available online. The seats for discounted Broadway tickets purchased online are generally side-by-side with those for full-price tickets. Additional TKTS booths are located at the South Street Seaport and in downtown Brooklyn. All three TKTS booths are owned and operated by the not-for-profit Theatre Development Fund.

Ticket supplies and the list of available shows can vary hour-to-hour, so if your first choice is not available you may want to check back later in the day.

If you're looking for tickets to a non-musical event at the TKTS booth in the theater district, be sure to ask for the "plays" line - it's much shorter than the usual line.
