From the producers: This breathtaking show follows playwright J.M. Barrie, who needs a big hit to save his floundering career. He finds the inspiration he's been missing when he meets the beautiful widow Sylvia and her four young sons: Jack, George, Michael and Peter. Delighted by the boys' hilarious escapades, Barrie conjures the magical world of Neverland and writes a play unlike any the high-society London theatergoers have ever seen. It's a tremendous risk, but as Barrie himself has discovered - when you believe, you can fly.
Audience Note: This production contains fog, flashing lights, and smoke.
The new musical made its world premiere at the Curve theatre Leicester in 2012, with the reworked version making its world premiere in 2014 at the American Repertory Theater in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Recent Les Misérables star Alfie Boe made his Broadway debut as Rodolfo in Baz Luhrmann's "La Bohème," for which he and his costars received a special Tony Award in 2003 for their performances. He stars alongside Laura Michelle Kelly, and Tony Award nominee Carolee Carmello ("Parade," "Scandalous").
