New in 2016
Mary-Louise Parker stars in a new play about a woman whose unexpected encounter with an older man on a London train leads to an ongoing, uncertain relationship.

The Broadway production of Heisenberg closed December 11, 2016. For current Broadway show listings and tickets, please click here.

From the producers: A random encounter. An uncertain act. An unexpected journey of the heart. Amidst the bustle of a crowded London train station, Georgie spots Alex, a much older man, and plants a kiss on his neck. This electric encounter thrusts these two strangers into a fascinating and life-changing game. "Heisenberg" brings to blazing, theatrical life the uncertain and often comical sparring match that is human connection.

On-Stage Seating: There is no late seating and you may not leave your seat once the 90 minute, no intermission performance has begun. Those seated in on-stage locations will not be allowed to bring any food or beverages to their seats.

Mary-Louise Parker ("Proof," Showtime's "Weeds") and Denis Arndt, who appeared Off Broadway in the well-received 2015 Manhattan Theater Club world premiere of the two-character Simon Stephens play, reprise their roles in the Broadway production.

Parker won a Tony in 2001 for her performance in "Proof," a Broadway transfer of another play that premiered Off Broadway at MTC. She’s since reunited with the theater to star in Broadway stagings of "Reckless" and "The Snow Geese." Author Stephens penned the Tony-winning stage adaptation of "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time."

What's Manhattan Theatre Club? One of three not-for-profit organizations that produce a season on Broadway each year, MTC also has two smaller stages at City Center, where they produce mostly modern plays (and sometimes musicals) in a fairly conventional style. More here.
