In a return engagement, a family-friendly production adapted from Eric Carle's popular children's book about a roaming, hungry caterpillar.
From the producers: Created by Jonathan Rockefeller, the critically acclaimed production of "The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show" features a menagerie of 75 lovable puppets, faithfully adapting four of Eric Carle stories, The Artist Who Painted a Blue Horse, Mister Seahorse, The Very Lonely Firefly and of course, the star of the show - The Very Hungry Caterpillar. The New York show in 2017 will also feature Brown Bear, Brown Bear and 10 Little Rubber Ducks.
"The Very Hungry Caterpillar," by author/illustrator Eric Carle, was first published in 1969 and has since sold more than 41 million copies worldwide. Eric's well-known books captivated readers with his iconic colorful hand-painted tissue paper collage illustrations and destinctively simple stories, introducing generations of children to a bigger, brighter world - and to their first experience of reading itself.
"The Very Hungry Caterpillar" has performed around the globe including Dubai, New Zealand, Australian and UK (including a run on the West End), and will see future productions in Dallas, Oregon and San Francisco. The show previously enjoyed a critically-acclaimed run in 2016 at Off Broadway's Acorn Theatre and became the most successful children's puppet show in New York history.
