At the Westside Theatre, a hilarious original musical comedy about good guy Josh Cohen who is caught in a lifetime battle of bad luck.
From the producers: Josh Cohen is broke, broken-hearted, and his apartment was broken into, but with the one CD that the thief didn't take and a bundt cake binge, Josh might just be able to turn it all around. "The Other Josh Cohen" breaks into Off-Broadway to take you on a smart and sassy romantic adventure about rolling with the punches, discount chocolate, and kindness. Turns out, with a lot of plaid and a little bit of heart, you can make your own good luck.
"The Other Josh Cohen" was originally developed at New York Musical Festival ahead of its 2012 Off-Broadway debut at the SoHo Playhouse. The musical was nominated for six Drama Desk Awards and the Lortel Award for Outstanding Musical before heading to New Jersey's Paper Mill Playhouse for a sold-out run. The musical features a book, music and lyrics by David Rossmer and Steve Rosen, the duo behind "Don’t Quit Your Night Job," who return to co-star in the title roles,
Rossmer and Rosen are joined onstage by Kate Wetherhead, Hannah Elless, Elizabeth Nestlerode, Luke Darnell, Louis Tucci, and Zachary Spound. Tony nominee Hunter Foster ("Unrinetown," "The Bridges of Madison County') directs.
