Carey Mulligan stars in a solo performance where an unexpected meeting at an airport leads to an intense, passionate, head-over-heels relationship.
From the producers: They met at an airport and fell for each other. But in time, they would meet their fate as it all falls apart. A pulse-pounding new play from Tony Award-winning playwright Dennis Kelly takes you on a journey that is at once provocative, gripping and gutwrenching.
Author Dennis Kelly is the Tony-winning book writer of "Matilda the Musical." His plays include "The Ritual Slaughter of Gorge Mastromas," "The Gods Weep" and "Orphans," among others. Carey Mulligan is a Tony nominee for her performance as Kyra in the 2015 production of David Hare’s "Skylight." Her other Broadway credit is the 2008 revival of Chekhov’s "The Seagull," in which she played Nina. On screen, she has starred in the films "An Education," for which she was nominated for an Academy Award, "Drive," "Suffragette," "Never Let Me Go" and "Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps."
Produced by Audible, "Girls & Boys" comes to NYC following a critically acclaimed production from London’s Royal Court Theatre earlier this year. Olivier Award winner Lyndsey Turner directs.
