A new drama that follows Theresa Hanneck, an author and veteran feminist warrior, Msemaji Ukweli, a young writer who is quickly becoming the leading cultural critic on race, class, and gender, and a heated online exchange between the two.
From the producers: Theresa Hanneck is a celebrated author and veteran feminist warrior; Msemaji Ukweli is a promising young writer who is quickly becoming the leading cultural critic on race, class, and gender for a new generation. When a heated exchange between the two women goes viral, Theresa finds herself ill-equipped to manage her message in the era of 140 character tweets - especially against a rival whose time may have come. A collision of ideals within the feminist movement propels JC Lee’s riveting drama from breathless start to surprising finish.

What's MCC Theater? MCC Theater is a well-connected Off-Broadway company...this perhaps due to the 'day jobs' of the intendants, who are major casting directors and producers on larger stages in the city. MCC's productions are almost always marked by a very high standard of casting and technical production. The company's production of "reasons to be pretty" moved to Broadway and was nominated for a Tony Award in 2008. More here.
